Lincoln Music Workshop Recorder Group

Still Going Strong!

Lincoln Music Workshop was established in 1965 at a time when musical events in Lincoln were a rare commodity. It offered a variety of opportunities for both musicians and listeners to participate in live music. As the music scene in Lincoln improved, most of the Workshop activities faded away, but the Recorder Group continues to flourish and meets in North Hykeham on Monday evenings from 7.15pm until 8.45pm.

This small, friendly group welcome adult players of all abilities. They play a wide range of music in many styles and from all periods. They often perform at local events and have previously participated in the Lincoln Music Festival.

Our latest performance was at The Ark, North Hykeham when some of our members spent a very hot afternoon playing for members of the Mothers’ Union.

If you play the recorder (or have done so in the past) and would like further details of the group, please contact their director, Sheila Richards

I am just learning to play the recorder and would be interested in having a look what your group offer.

    Greetings,
You look like a lovely group… I live in the US & wish I could participate in your offers. Never having been to Europe, I don’t know my way around. Being retired, I’m learning to play the recorder, & hope to connect with a group of like interests. Wishing all of you the best of everything…
    Sincerely, Barbara
